Soon, sight takes over, letting the world imprint itself onto the retina according to the chains of signifiants that cross and organize visual experience. The mouth becomes tabu, connected with uncontrollable desire. Only at night, do adults dare to close their eyes and meet the world through the mouth, sucking and tasting the flavour of their lover.
		In Rome, on the left handside of the portico of the medieval Church of Santa Maria turists nervously line up to stick their hand into the Mouth of Truth. According to popular superstition, it bites the hand of anyone who tells lies. But could it be that in fact they are facing the world in broad daylight with their eyes closed?
