Dialogue I & II.

Dialogue I (Talking with Fireflies)
Recorded in Kuala Selangor 2002.

From boats and canoes I tried to get close the the mysterious and beautiful fireflie-light-show you find best in Kuala Selangor in Malaysia. Here in trees by the River, Sungei Selangor area, there is this stretch with high concentration of the Pteroptyx tener (The masterflie of synchronized flashing).
The largest population of syncro-fireflies pieces in the world. There can be up to 2 thousands fireflies in one tree, and they all flash syncro. Boatmen in the area are using them for navigation.

Dialogue I is an attemp to talk (or communicate) to them with a lighter. (Video 2.30 min)

Dialogue II is a couple meeting and there try to syncro and more... (video 4.30)
