ARTCUP HAS COME OF AGE

Following scores of 15:4, 16:3 and 10:1 ? 3:1 is a real football result.
Previously asked why the Scots had kept up the pressure against opposition that had clearly collapsed in Lisbon, Belgrade and Helsinki, Nuno Sacramento and I would always say So that someone out there would hear the message and take the competition seriously. The Danes did exactly that and we got the result that is a credit to the project.

SHARPNESS IN BOTH ART AND FOOTBALL
I would also like to congratulation everyone on their commitment to the exhibition. It was great to see 26 fresh artworks in this non-traditional art venue. I am pleased to report that the range of artistic approach did justice to the curatorial challenge. The educational programme coordinated by Deveron Arts was able to introduce the school children of Huntly to contemporary artists working with collage, printing, found object, video, painting, installation, sculpture, photography, drawing, sound, light, text and cast bronze.
